Superior to Old Shellac Burn-in Style. A durable blend developed to repair many types of damage, from minor to the most severe scratches, gouges, and other defects. This easy-to-use material may be used to repair damage in high traffic areas, on flat or contoured surfaces, and edges.
Our innovative process allows you to mix the wax colors together while melting the Hard Wax into the damage using the Hot Knife. Initial levelling can be done with the Special Scraper or Metal Planer. Final leveling is simplified by using the Special Filler Applicator. Don’t worry about affecting the finished surface when melting the Hard Wax, the Hot Knife never makes contact with the finish. After the repair is completed, seal with Premium Aerosols Clear Topcoat Lacquer. For indoor use only.
Remove any loose or splintered parts and cut damaged edges vertically downwards (artificial surfaces) or press round (solid wood and veneer).
Melt off small quantities of Hard Wax using the heated tip of the Butane Hot Knife or Battery Hot Knife and fill into the damaged area.
Use the Special Filler Applicator to plane off excess filler while it is still warm using light pressure (use serrated teeth on the flat surface and rounded teeth on edges).
Swiftly wipe off excess wax with the 1500 grit Sanding Pad (inside the Special Filler Applicator) using light pressure.
After an intermediate sealing with Special Repair Lacquer Plus, replicate the grain pattern with König touch-up materials and restore pores while slightly scratching (e.g. with a needle).
Use Special Repair Lacquer Plus or Furniture Lacquer PLUS or for small repairs use the Brush Pen Clear Lacquer to seal and to protect the repaired area from dust and dirt and to adjust the sheen level, if necessary. For aerosols, instead of applying a heavy coat, apply 2-3 thin misty coats from a distance of 12″-16″.
For indoor use only.
