Unlike oleic/acid/solvent based products of similar names – which may actually remove finish as they clean – Medium Finish Restorer deposits more finish as it is applied. It is an innovative combination of traditional French know-how and LakeOne’s state-of-the-art technology.
Repairs and restores worn and thin French polish finishes. Not only will it restore the shine, but it deposits more film thickness as it cleans and shines. Easy application with Woodworker’s Polishing Cotton. Not suitable for modern nitrocellulose (satin lacquer) sprayed finishes.
Shake well before using. Soak a piece of Woodworker’s Polishing Cotton or a soft cloth with the restorer and gradually rub onto the surface using circular or back-and-forth motion until the product dries. When the cloth sticks to the surface, the shine and depth appears. It is this generated heat that permits the varnish and shellac contained in the restorer to blend. Keep rubbing until the cloth moves freely over the surface, then quickly remove the cloth. Do not touch the surface until 1 or 2 hours later. Allow to rest for 12 hours. Contains natural oils which can be removed with Mild Finish Cleanser.
