Give your furniture the beauty of antique furniture in one easy application, used indoors as well as outdoors. It can be waxed, finished or glazed. Antiquing Wood Stain stains and enhances the warmth of wood without concealing the natural beauty of the wood grain or its patina (sap lines, antiquing, timber end, joints).
Antiquing stain resin base and natural pigments have been renowned for centuries for their light-resistant qualities, contrary to alcohol-solvent stains. Antiquing Wood Stain is colorfast and leaves none of the unsightly blotches of water stains. Seals wood pores and prevents the pores from raising, leaving a smooth stained surface.
Shake well before using. Apply liberally to the surface using a brush or lint free cloth. Apply the stain evenly over the surface before it dries to obtain an even color. If stain is missing from an area, moisten the area again with the stain and wipe to even it out. Let dry for one hour at room temperature of about 68° F • 20° C, then lightly sand the surface with fine (0000) or super fine (00000) steel wool prior to an application of wax or varnish.
