Works exceptionally well with polyester finishes. Non-polyester finishes (e.g., polyurethane, enamel, lacquer) are softer and thinner, use caution and be less aggressive. High gloss lacquer finishes are the most fragile and often the best solution for troublesome scratches and abrasions is to replace the high gloss lacquer.

Use power buffing pads or by hand. Power buffing wheels may be used but works best with solid bar compounds.

Use separate buffing setups for each compound level, mixing compounds makes the finer compounds ineffective with unwanted results.
